Very pretty village. Nice hosts. Dog friendly. Lovely breakfast with home made jams. A small double bed, but comfortable. .

Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was easy to find, clean, comfortable and quiet. There are 3 bedrooms, one is ensuite and the other 2 share a bathroom. We were sharing with another room of 2 people and never had to wait, it was very easy. The rooms have aircon, the kitchen and lounge areas are spacious, you have plenty of facilities for food and laundry, and places to sit and relax inside and outside. We went for Le Mans Classic and I would definitely stay here again.

We were made very welcome at this lovely tranquil home in beautiful countryside. Our room was spacious with a large area leading to the ensuite facilities, shower and loo. The bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was available but we chose not to use it, preferring to open the window. Wifi was also available. The breakfast of fruit juice, fresh fruit, various pastries and home made yoghurt and preserves was delicious.

La Tale is set in a renovated 18th century farmhouse in Chahaignes in the Loir Valley. It is a 40-minute drive from Le Mans and Tours and offers views over the countryside.

This place is totally unique. You will struggle to find anything like it. Amazing host. Great for a peaceful get away or to explore surrounding area. We enjoyed bike riding, picnics and local restaurants (although hard to track down open ones midweek).
