Friendly, helpful staff. Accommodated our late arrival with two dogs. Nice breakfast overlooking the lake following a peaceful walk around the lake in the early morning. Comfortable and clean room. Would like to come back in the summer to try out the pool and have breakfast on the terrace

It was a stunning location and the host was extremely welcoming (but only speaks French unfortunately for me!). It is definitely a 'get there by car' type of place alternatively you could probably hike there with a bit of planning as it is situated in a beautiful forest around a lake.
The room is picturesque and you can see her creative flair which is lovely. Its both cosy and spacious in the room. Our bathroom was upstairs and it was well laid out and had everything you would need. We were also travelling with a medium dog. She welcomed our pet and has two dogs and a cat of her own. We did keep the pets separated but it was all part of the experience of staying in someone else's space. The host ended up making us a surprising and exceptional meal from the veg and herbs in her garden because the only local restaurant was closed (still a drive away). I would also recommend going for her breakfast as she makes all her own jams (also some of her own teas) and the pancakes were very yummy.
All in all it's a quirky place with a fantastic home built design. I was absolutely delighted by the whole experience and have already recommended it!

Nice layout and spacious apartment in the centre of town. The facilities were what we needed and my friend was particularly excited that this property had a bath/shower, (as most properties have showers only). That was a real plus and to quote them they immediately felt happy and settled as soon as they walked in, on arrival. Stunning location and convenient for St Etienne when you need city things, but far enough away to be silent and peaceful.
