The property and it’s situation completely met our expectations. Car parking exceeded expectations, it was easy and on site. Furnishing and fittings all to a high standard and worked well.

VUE 180°, superbe appartement cocooning !, hotel in Laroque-des-Albères

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, VUE 180°, superbe appartement cocooning! is set in Laroque-des-Albères. Featuring sea and mountain views, this apartment also features free WiFi....

The apartment was beautifully appointed and very well presented. It was a studio, and although the main room was large, it was dominated by a huge bed, which was very comfortable. Cushions and pillows were plentiful. The bathroom was quite small but as a 'wet room' enjoyed a good-sized walk-in shower. Outside space was great, with a lovely balcony providing spectacular views over the village and beyond to the Canigou. The studio was easy to find and although parking was available just beneath it, I only left my car there for the first night as the route up, and especially back down again was difficult, through very narrow streets. I found alternative parking down in the village which was no more than a few minutes walk from the studio and much easier to drive to.

Hotel Du Village Catalan, hotel in Laroque-des-Albères

This hotel welcomes you in its lovely setting amongst the vineyards of Catalan and the Pyrenees Mountains. It offers comfortable and quality accommodation.

We’ve used this hotel many t8 es on our way to or from Spain on Holiday. It’s directly next to the Motorway but yet quiet. Plenty of space for the kids to run and burn off some energy. They even had kids Rugby, football etc set up last summer.

Laroque des Alberes is very quiet (although I was there in mid-March) and seems to be mostly residential. There are very few shops although a large supermarket is just a five-minute drive away. If you want a few days of tranquility, it would be a good place to choose.

This is a lovely village nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, a short drive from the beaches of Argeles and Collioure. There is now a good choice of places to eat and drink to suit all budgets. We have always loved the Cafe des Artistes which is at the heart of the village and we paid our first visit to the Refuge du Clocher - beautiful food and friendly staff in an excellent location. There is a small selection of shops covering most needs including a very friendly charcuterie/ fruit and veg shop, a bakers, a pharmacist and a newsagents. A weekly market is held every Wednesday morning with an interesting range of stalls. You will find plenty of options for walking, whether it's a casual stroll around the old walls or a hike up into the mountains. The tourist information office is really helpful. They helped us to find out more about the local buses which are excellent value.
