Very lovely welcome by the smiling receptionist. She went out of her way to assist my elderly mother which was greatly appreciated. Beautiful warm room on the ground floor and excellent breakfast brought to the room. We look forward to returning.

My stay was very comfortable despite the freezing weather. The apartment has central heating, a fully equipped kitchen, good domestic wifi (better than hotels in my experience), ample free parking and is in a quiet area. It is a short walk down the hill to the shops and there is a lovely walking/cycling path along the river that apparently stretches from Cherbourg to le Mont Saint Michel. Good access to surrounding areas, and only an hour from the Ferry at Caen/Ouistreham. There's even a hot pizza dispensing machine near the river, and I saw a mobile burger bar (I think) one night too.

Cathy could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. We were there to visit the D-Day sites and so the location of the property was well placed to access them without too much driving. We also both prefer to not stay in large corporate hotels so this was perfect for us.

The pizzeria to which she directed us, Pizzeria des Arcades in Carentan was the best value for money we've ever met with in a French pizzeria, & there was a huge range of choice in syrups for drinks, ice cream flavours for the desserts & the pizzas themselves.
The bed was very comfortable
