The room is very cozy and quiet with a beautiful garden view. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts, Claire and Yves, are very hospitable, kind and helpful. It's like we're visiting our parents. We had a great weekend.

The guesthouse is tucked away in a little corner of the French countryside - though quite close to Rambouillet and thus Paris - and has all the amenities for a perfect stay: a lovely quaint guesthouse next to the main house, a pool, great food and charming hosts.. It's only a short bus ride into the centre of Rambouillet (including the train station: Gare SNCF) or you can walk it in 35 minutes. It's quite a pleasant walk after the first 5 minutes which you spend navigating through the commercial/industrial area. The advantage of the above area is that restaurants, a huge supermarket and a large McDonald's are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel if you need them. The breakfast was ok (although no gluten-free options: maybe you need to tell them in advance). Cédric was the only staff member I met and he is VERY helpful. It makes such a big difference when hotels have pleasant and considerate staff who "go the extra mile". Thank-you again, Cédric!
