Just about everything! The facilities were excellent; M Gex's property is very traditional and beautiful, with a huge garden and plenty of room to walk around. Upstairs was light and airy with several skylights. The area is peaceful and there are lots of places of interest nearby and further afield on the Crozon and Raz peninsulas. A lovely part of France, and M Gex has obviously dedicated years of work to restoring a huge property; work is still ongoing.
Wildlife bonus - a pair of barn owls are present and had 2 young on view most nights on our roof or the adjoining roof! A real privilege to see them so close up.

This was our penultimate stop on our cycling trip to Brest. Instead of the usual double room, here we had a whole suite - including a little terrace - , in a house that is in the very middle of Le Faou. Very lovely host, who gave us great tips for dinner and breakfast.

The couple hosting were amazing, they were very friendly and we learnt all about the local area and town. The location is fantastic in the centre of Playpen and close to cycle routes and the canal. At the accommodation there is a cycle shed to store bikes safely in. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was amazing with a great selection of local produce including homemade jams and tea.
