Stop at the nearby 13th century Château in Villeneuve.

Stop at the nearby 13th century Château in Villeneuve. Amazing, though the government staff there were outright rude and mean-spirited. Ignore them, well worth the stop. Maybe they had a bad day or maybe the French government sends their meanest but impossible to make redundant older workers. The younger guide was very nice, the older lady should be posted back to Devils Island where she apparently learned customer service skills.
