Stunning place to stay, a short drive from L'hospitalet, Le chateau and the lifts down to Rocamadour.
The hotel has been beautifully renovated, the grounds are beautiful, close to vines and a stunning view.
We made use of the swimming pool even though it was mid/late September.
Breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed drinks on the terrace.

I felt I’d fallen on my feet as everything was great. I’d had to book at short notice in half term week close to a remote hamlet to attend my cousin’s funeral.
An interesting little castle in a peaceful little village...
An interesting little castle in a peaceful little village with stylish rooms to discover when walking around the place. A very nice swimming pool with great view. Great dinner terrace with a view and a very castle style breakfast room. Modern cuisine with unique dishes for dinner and a buffer breakfast. Spacious and very quiet room on 2 levels with stylish castle decor and a nice bathroom. Very welcoming host.
La Terrasse is an absolutely beautiful old fortified chateau hotel in an absolutely gorgeous setting. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and provide modern facilities within utterly charming castle rooms. The restaurant offers excellent classic french cuisine and the service is very friendly and very professional. If you visit in the summer you can eat on the terrace with gorgeous views over the river and valley. We stay every year and can’t wait for our next visit!
A TRULY MAGICAL REAL CASTLE-HOTEL in a wonderful location looking onto the Dordogne. Absolutely beautiful and exceptional in every way. Francoise is the most lovely lady you could ever meet and she makes certain that guests are very well looked after. The setting and rooms are gorgeous. Everything is a delight, with great attention to detail. We loved it.
Beautiful and characterful premises right on the river and with a friendly welcome from all of the staff, even the kitchen staff whom we bumped into outside the hotel a few times. We had a lovely meal on the terrace the first evening and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The location is brilliant, in a small village with breakfast terrace overlooking the Dordogne river. Good size room in rustic style. Parking outside the hotel was straightforward. We would stay again to explore the area further.
Restaurant was excellent ,
Hotel seem to be run by a single really friendly lady
Beautiful location but rather remote
Definitely require own transportation
Lovely duplex room
