My stay was very comfortable despite the freezing weather. The apartment has central heating, a fully equipped kitchen, good domestic wifi (better than hotels in my experience), ample free parking and is in a quiet area. It is a short walk down the hill to the shops and there is a lovely walking/cycling path along the river that apparently stretches from Cherbourg to le Mont Saint Michel. Good access to surrounding areas, and only an hour from the Ferry at Caen/Ouistreham. There's even a hot pizza dispensing machine near the river, and I saw a mobile burger bar (I think) one night too. A great little spot.

The advice about where to go to eat given by our host, who was very friendly and open. The pizzeria to which she directed us, Pizzeria des Arcades in Carentan was the best value for money we've ever met with in a French pizzeria, & there was a huge range of choice in syrups for drinks, ice cream flavours for the desserts & the pizzas themselves. The bed was very comfortable The breakfast was copious, & included a delicious cake made on the premises.

The very warm welcome on arrival from Charlotte. Loved the beautiful gardens and such a lovely setting in the middle of the countryside yet close to Saint Lo. Our room was so tastefully decorated and we really loved it !!
