Celine and partner make our stay very welcoming and pleasant. Celine has thought of everything from small details like hand sanitizer to fresh flowers in our room. Breakfast was delicious with variety of very fruity jams and brioche bread so tasty. I couldn't find any faults during our stay. Highly recommended!

Les 4 Eléments St Emilion, hotel in Rauzan

Offering a year-round outdoor pool, seasonal outdoor pool and sun terrace, Les 4 Eléments St Emilion is set in Branne in the Aquitaine Region, 31 km from Bordeaux.

We stayed 4 great nights at The Four Eléments St Emilion. Brigitte was an excellent host- exceptionally warm, welcoming and generous . She was always keen to make our stay more comfortable, was very helpful with suggestions for activities and places to visit. She also shared of herself —- and provided insights into real French life. The room provided was really large and comfortable, with doors opening into a verandah with fabulous views over the small, peaceful town of Branne, and the Dordogne. There is not much to the town of Branne itself in the way of cafes or similar, however the accomodation in very close proximity to St Emilion, and peacefully set as a retreat amongst vines. (A car is of course necessary!) Brigitte provided a generous and excellent breakfast, with beautiful homemade preserves. We also enjoyed relaxing in and around the pool after some hot days! We would highly recommend staying there.

The location was stunning with cats and chickens roaming around, it was beautiful. Sophie was very accommodating, helping us book taxis, lending irons and letting us look around her antique shop inside the main building (so much treasure!) Sophie delivered the most delightful breakfast to our room every morning, it was perfect. Would absolutely recommend a stay here!

Unfortunately Rauzan was just an overnight stop for us, but driving through the area, the roads are very good, the views amazing, acres and acres of immaculately trimmed vineyards. Would be a great place to explore and discover more about the wine production.

The room was excellent, tastefully decorated, ours was on the ground floor and pleasantly cool without the need for air con. The hosts were very likeable people, including their daughter who also helped. The guy (sorry forgot name!) ran the place and was so laid back and did everything in his stride so easily! He is an excellent chef so DO EAT THERE. If you are arriving late and don't want to go out looking for a meal tell him when you book that you wish to eat, as he likes notice. The swimming pool was a welcome addition after a hot day and had good shade. It is not far too St. Emilion, which is a must visit, so a good quiet base to stay and if we were to return to the area we would definitely stay here again! If you want to visit some vineyards, check online before hand as most like you to pre book rather than just turn up, especially on the weekend. The ones in St. Emilion we visited were not very good you wandered around with no guide or information.
