I can't begin to describe how amazing this place is. From the communication before arrival to the actual stay itself, everything was perfect. The hosts are so friendly; we were given a lovely tour including the troglodytic caves and an explanation of the history of the site. It's FASCINATING! We were even told to help ourselves to the delicious fresh herbs growing in their garden and to use their washing line, if we needed. The gite itself was immaculately clean and well though-out. The bed was soooo comfortable and there was even a window looking into one of the cellars, complete with original wine-making machinery. The pool is a real highlight; heated, big enough (and deep enough) to properly swim in and with a toilet, shower and changing room. A perfect spot to laze around in the sun!
The area is beautiful with a huge number of things to do. Gorgeous Saumur is only 10-15 minutes away and has everything you could need including some great restaurants.
We are very much planning a return trip to En Rou Libre. There are lots of things in the area we still want to do and we have never stayed in such a perfect place. Thank-you to the family for such a wonderful holiday!

Everything was more than perfect. Very friendly and helpful. Beautiful little hotel.
The attention to detail was stunning. The location was perfect, literally a stones throw to a lovely little Square. We went to Bistro sur la place, the food was superb.
The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere, ever. Just perfect. Looking forward to a return visit!
