Nice well-maintained home in a rural location, about 30 minutes from Giverny. A small town is just a few minutes away. We stayed only one night, but with the full kitchen facilities this would be a great base for a week-long artist/writers retreat. The round main bedroom is accessible by a very steep staircase.
This charming hotel restaurant offers spacious en suite room, each individually decorated. Enjoy traditional cuisine made on wood fire and served on an outdoor terrace, right by the Seine River.

Owner was very helpful.
Owner was very helpful. Everything was taken care of, coffee, toilet paper, towels (which we did not have to pay extra as we had to in Bretagne and Normandie). No complaints whatsoever.
I would recommend with a caveat. Kind of difficult to get to the place.
Also, if you use upstairs bedroom, the steep staircase is extremely narrow at top. You have to hold on to the rope to navigate the last steps.
Entrance to apartment was difficult to get in, defective and broken asphalt. Wash machine was in constant use for the other units, almost impossible to get to use it.

He had a complete house.
He had a complete house. We should have brought food and beverage, and enjoyed an outdoor dinner. Very relaxing French country. Driving with the GPS was easy, be careful on the narrow roads. Locals helpful and friendly. September is beautiful, some of the leaves were just changing color and the temperature was perfect. Enjoy. We would come back in a heartbeat.
