SO happy to discover this gem of a new hotel near me in the Tarn. A gorgeous country chateau in the rolling French countryside near to Toulouse that has been converted into a sensational boutique hotel. There are lots of boutique hotels popping up in the area but none with a Spa like this! We had the most sensational suite with a huge terrace overlooking the gardens and the countyside, with the snowcapped Pyrenees in the distance. The staff were super friendly, the restaurant was delicious and very well priced for a hotel, and the Spa was exceptional. There is no Spa like this anywhere in the area. A real amount of love and attention has been made by the owners Gordon and Danielle Oldham (of Pavilion Hotels - he is English, she is French from the local area) to make this a perfect French retreat. I have already booked a Spa day in two weeks time!

Everything was perfect! The apartment was well appointed and had everything we could have wanted and more (what a treat to have a dressing table!)
There are lots of little touches to make the place special and the outdoor cooking and seating area is a great addition and we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in the peace and quiet.

Charming, helpful, and discrete, the owners made us really feel 'at home'. The property had everything - a very comfortable bed, large spacious bedroom, spare pillows and blankets on hand, insect screens, a big bathroom with a lovely hot shower, plus delightfully presented breakfast options to suit all tastes. Just what we were needing towards the end of a six-week road trip in southern France. After two nights we left refreshed and delighted we'd had the good fortunate to discover La Lauze by chance, and the surrounding area.

Will definitely recommend this for all travelling at the area! Would be great for a longer stay, but sadly we were only a one night stop. But we were there early enough to use the kitchen, sit and enjoy at the terrace area and do a bicycle tour to the neighbourhood. Spacious room had all you can wish for and more.
