Les Rives du Plantié was a lovely oasis for our first night in France. We had requested two rooms close to one another and were given adjoining rooms, perfect! Our daughter had her independence and privacy without us worrying! We ate in the hotel's restaurant, the food was excellent. I do often prefer meat-free options when eating out, and this can be a problem. Les Rives du Plantié was a deliciously pleasant surprise. I had a mezze salad platter, which was, in all honesty, the best salad I have ever had. The team were very accommodating to all of our requests and patient with our poor French and very kind to our daughter. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean we all slept well. The location was quiet and beautiful. It was a fabulous experience for our first night in the country - and it set the tone for a lovely week.

After another very warm and mostly (it seemed) uphill cycle from Agen we all arrived at this wonderful, rustic country oasis with a bonus pool, and yes we did use it. Our host was lovely and couldn’t do enough to get us settled in. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. But the big plus was her home cooked dinner she prepared for the four of us that evening. It was both very delicious and plentiful, we just provided the vino, which is not hard to come by in the Bordeaux region. If you ever are in need of a night respite along the way there please consider this charming place.

A very pretty chambres d’hôtes in a charming building in a quiet village. The views to the countryside are amazing and the village worth to visit. The rooms are big, the beds are big too and very comfortable, the bathrooms are well equipped, even with handmade handsoap. Coffee or tea making facilities and every night a bottle of fresh water. The breakfasts are superb, fresh croissants, homemade jam, a daily pruneau d’Agen, fresh fruit salad, choice of ham and cheese or eggs. All this made possible by a charming host, Petri, who is never tired of giving useful information about the region or good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Petri is a stylish lady with classy taste. To be recommended and we will return if or when possible.
