Charming quirky house with an interesting history. Lovely view from our room over well tended gardens and surrounding countryside. Decorated and furnished with an eclectic mix of objects reflecting the host's interests and travels. An excellent (included in price) breakfast consisting of croissants, bread and home made yoghurts, jams and brioche served in a spacious conservatory. Within easy reach of the coast and other scenic spots but without the hustle and bustle of a town. Great host spoke good English but encouraged us to use our basic French in a very positive way!

Thomas gave us a great welcome. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is beautiful with a view of the canal, where we went walking. The town is nearby and has plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was excellent - plentiful, varied and tasty.

This is a pretty little town not far from Cherbourg giving easy access to the beautiful hills and countryside just inland and yet only a mile or two from the sea. The P'tit Bistro in the main square is a good place to eat, nothing too fancy and a good atmosphere.
