The owner, Olivier, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. When we decided to stay an extra night he give us lots of information about the area and made great suggestions about where to visit. The village and the surrounding area are beautiful with plenty to do. The food in the restaurant was excellent, fresh and innovative and the menu changed daily. The bed was very comfortable. We will certainly go back to stay again.

Le Grand Saint Marc is an oasis of calm and heritage on the edge of Vendome, which is itself a fascinating historic town. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Our host was very kind and helpful. We will certainly return in the future as there is more in the area we want to see.

The host was amazing. A really friendly lady. This place is lovely and clean and fantastic value for money. Garden is so nice relaxing to sit and plan your next days travel. I would definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay. Such a treat for us to stay in a cave. Luc was a lovely host and was able to tell us so much about the area and sights to see nearby. We also really enjoyed our breakfast every morning, along with the surprise.

If you need somewhere to take a break from the stresses of life, this is a place worth staying at. A stunning B&B that is beautifully appointed and super clean. The bedroom was quiet and peaceful with a comfortable bed and a garden balcony with stunning gardens that is not overlooked. The hosts were amazing. So kind and attentive. They offered us dinner on the first night which was welcome after a long journey. Breakfast every morning was huge! With fresh eggs and traditional french foods. What a find this place was in the beautiful Loire Valley.

Everything was just great. The premises are exceptional, just outside the village and yet very quiet. We went to sleep and woke up to the birds singing and the sound of the water… dreamy! The room was nice and big and the outdoor spaces ideal for relaxation. Martial and Eric are perfect hosts: they tend to your every need without being intrusive. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to be back.
