Rudelle was handed over to us by Christophe. It was the only time we saw Christophe and tried to find him to thank him when we left but he was presumably busy with the grape harvest.
The house was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly need. There were so many extra little touches including a lovely welcome pack (the wine from the vineyard was delicious).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the middle of the vineyards. Unfortunately we couldn't control the occasional rain showers although we were able to enjoy the sun at other times sitting out in the garden watching the sun go down several evenings and eating outside was lovely. There honestly wasn't anything we didn't like.
We highly recommend booking Rudelle. We will always remember our stay there!

Breakfast was amazingly generous, and with treats and jams cooked by Dominique, who gave great advice on local sites to visit and started the water mill so we could see it operating. Fabulous views of the garden and river. Lovely to see the well-behaved, friendly dog, the ducklings and hens and the fruit trees. It is clear that nature is cherished here. The interior decor is quite eclectic. Lots of hot water, comfortable bed and sofas. Big and deep pool but we were the first visitors this year so understandably it was not filled yet. I loved it but would not have wanted to take my children there when they were young what with the fast-flowing river and mill wheel.

This is a gite therefore not B&B so the breakfast question is not relevant.. However Fiona, the owner, left a carton of milk for us which is a nice gesture.
The owner is very friendly and approachable. There is a fantastic space outside for dogs etc to play. There is really nothing to say that is not superlative. Fiona asked us if we had experienced any 'odd smells'. We definitely had not. I'm not sure what experience the guest who did comment on them had, but we stayed only a few days later and in the rain (when you would expect any smell to make itself apparent). My partner has asked me to add -the gite is well equipped.
