I liked the staff, breakfast, spacious suite, the environmental focus of the hotel, the hot tub, the facility to hire bikes, tranquil location.it’s close to a beach (but not the sandy beaches)

A super find on the island ! The staff were friendly upon check in and the room was spotless. We could not have wished for a better place to stay. Breakfast the following morning was more than enough to keep us going until we reached our holiday destination. Fully recommend this hotel

The campsite is new so a lot of the images are from other Kampaoh sites. The staff (only three for all the Kampaoh guests!) work hard to help and were really good on WhatsApp. The Kampaoh tents are part of a bigger campsite that also had excellent staff (although we found the restaurant confusing as to opening times and seemed to be fully booked when it clearly was not) due perhaps to large coach groups. Our tent had a fridge, and a rather patronising cutlery box while there is nothing to cook on or with. They need to give dustpan and brushes to each tent to allow you to keep out the dirt which goes everywhere as the pitches are in sandy areas. The pool area was fun, a little dated but kept our kids busy. We rented bikes that were delivered to us at the site thru Beach Bikes who were fantastic. The nearby beach is wild and wonderful, very pretty.
Hotel du Port is located on Île de Ré. It offers air-conditioned rooms with a view. Wi-Fi is available. Rooms at Hotel du Port are equipped with a telephone and TV.

A strange place, not one for very active people who like surfing/body boarding, serious bike riding. Tourist information had no information about walking routes, everything designed around dutch style bikes. Must be horrendous in the height of summer. To our mind NW end of island better with better sand, and for a village/town St Martin de Re better. Far too much of the beach areas had underwater rocks exposed at low tides which could cause injury.

A lovely place with plenty of safe cycling routes which are well marked. Plenty of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. No high rise buildings and a calm, relaxed feel to the area (which was also a feature of the whole island). Well maintained and very suitable for both families and couples.

Pretty square ideal as a base for meeting up with family for breakfast. Breakfast was an add on at Hotel Grenettes.
Central point for visiting pretty beaches and exploring the area. Only 15 mins drive to La Rochelle for our flights.

One of the nicest place of the island (the "La Noue" part), very close to La Flotte. There are restaurants and there is local market with everything you need. Beach is sand (full tide in afternoon).

This was our third hotel stay on the island and by far the best. Very simple set up that runs successfully for all. The pool was immaculate and large enough to accommodate those staying. Very quiet, staff extremely helpful and plentiful breakfasts. We stayed in an apartment and the fridge and hot plate were useful. Bikes were great and the car park secure. Will definitely return again. Highly recommend. We felt very welcome and our business was appreciated.
I wish I had read more of the reviews as from the blurb I thought it was a hotel and didn’t realize it was accommodation on a campsite. Having said that the accommodation itself - room decor, comfy bed and terrace - and the facilities were very good just not what we were expecting or hoping for. Bike rental was good, esp as locals some distance from the main villages.
A warm welcome from very friendly, helpful staff. A good sized room opening onto the pool which was wonderful with plenty of seating and sun beds. Location of the hotel excellent and close to some good bars and restaurants within a very short walk.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied and taken in a beautiful garden area. We found no issue with parking.
It’s a lovely hotel, nice pool area although it was unseasonably cold for August so we didn’t use the pool. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect for a base whilst touring the Island. There’s only one bar in the square about a 5-10 minute walk away which served drinks a bit later luckily because otherwise it’s a very quiet place.
The location of the hotel was great for us. St Marie is quieter than St Martin, and we found a great restaurant for dinner in an easy walk from the hotel.
Vélo hire was reasonably priced, and extremely easy. The hotel pool was an added extra.
Room was beautifully decorated and very quiet.
Breakfast was great
Very modern hotel with great rooms and facilities. Everything looks and feels great! Just a few minutes walk from a nice beach and situated at a square with various good restaurants. The restaurant run by the hotel is especially worth a visit for traditional cuisine.
Hotel is really good, clean and comfortable rooms. It was convenient to have a small kitchen in the room for preparing meal. There is very beautiful territory around the hotel. The ocean is magic! My son was happy to have his bed on 2nd floor :)
We loved everything! Cocktails by the pool was paradise. We had a balcony and the wonderful staff were very kind in helping me have a room that was on the opposite side of the hotel from my mama so we could have some space / privacy haha.
From staff to facilities, this hotel has everything you require while visiting the island. The swimming pool was a decent size. Love the Room with the little kitchenette and living space. Nice one. Will definitely recommend.
Very good hotel.
A nice breakfast
Room was clean and comfortable.
Near the shore. And a nice swimming pool.
Thanks for the kindness of the staff for the breakfast... making it one of the best experience ever !
I like a hotel room with beautiful amenities for me to release the sunburned skin, moreover having enough space to stay alone was excellent for me to be relaxed. And I also prefer the breakfast buffet.
Breakfast was good although it was a little expensive. The hotel is situated in a camping site and as a result there are various activities that take place but this did not disturb us during our stay.
Such a great little site - the hotel rooms were really well done and great to have a terrace. The location on the island was great and very close to some lovely beaches
