When my husband and I checked into Hotel Henri IV after a long, dusty day's cycling with heavy panniers, two I’ve cold waters were produced and 15 mins later two espressos and two delicate macrons were brought to our room by the charming receptionist. As often with such establishments space was limited, yet, whoah,  In the centre of our ensuite room was a 4-poster bed, something I have always wanted to try (how cosy it would be on a chilly night). Everything worked well and was hygienic; the undercover bicycle storage was secure and the location central.

Friendly stuff, nice Room, beautiful view. Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire is a sweet vilagge, the Loire is close buy, and an old monastery are worth a visit.

Location was excellent. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room had great views. Only downside was that we had to walk in to town for dinner and there was no bar service. Possibly too early in the season
