Elegant mansion in expansive grounds, a handy option for relaxing overnight stay before heading for Channel crossing and return home. Restaurant ticks the boxes, varied international clientele offered plenty of people-watching opportunities, big comfortable bed.

Wonderful house in an amazing garden! At the bottom of the garden is a gate that gives access to the path along the lake, nice walk (slight detour) to the town. The room with en-suite has its own entrance. Breakfast is in a very charmingly decorated dining room. The host is very helpful and made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast with eggs from her own chickens, home made jams and home baked cake was lovely and plentiful. We stayed just one night on our way back to the UK, next time we will try to have some more time there. Ardres is a lovely little town with several restaurants - we had a great dinner. We'd love to go back.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and very tastefully furnished. The welcome cocktail was a wonderful surprise, and the breakfast basket was lovely. Views of the lake were fabulous, both from the garden and the apartment. To top it all, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had a great night's sleep.

We had a great time here on our way to Calais. 40-year-old loved the slide in the garden and there was plenty of space and open air. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Communication was great too. We would recommend this day for families with small children. Thanks!

Out of season so I was so was the only diner but still the very attentive staff provided meals at a time to suit me within their schedule. Room was a very good standard. shower excellent. Easy Parking right outside the hotel. Great breakfast. Great place for a stop before or after a channel crossing. In season, I imagine this is a busy place with a caravan site and fun park opposite.

Great location for travellers using Eurotunnel as far enough into France to avoid built up areas (Calais/Dunkirk).
Rural location and short walking distance to small local bar.
Stayed at this hotel many times before and intend to do so in future - our first choice of hotel when beginning or ending a french road trip.

No restaurants in town, however very good restaurant as you drive in the direction of Calais, drive a few kilometres in the direction of Calais and you will see a restaurant on right hand side of road, very good, good price around €60 for two people dining. Tournhem has no real redeeming features in my view, but convenient as a stop over from Calais.
This is a really pleasant hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Its modern and in a quiet location with good car parking. The restaurant is very pleasant with a reasonable menu and good service. The breakfast was good too. The surrounding area is worth exploring too as it contains some great walks with terrific views (weather permitting) over the channel.
We stayed in this hotel on our way to France and on the way back. Both experiences were very good, all clean and in good order. It's in a very quiet village. the owners were very accommodative for a late checkin but everything in the village was closed. We'd stop again there any time we go to France.
My expectations were low, considering this was a hotel/restaurant at a campground, but I was surprised and delighted to find a very clean and modern facility, a sparklingly bright and modern room with independent heat, and a lovely restaurant.
A nice hotel in a small village 40 minutes from Calais. Great parking, really nice food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent value for money. What’s not to like. Will definitely stay here again.
Very clean and comfortable except the modern trend to fit short duvet's that come just above the waist! (why are all Hotels doing this now?) Dinner was very good and good value.
WE have stayed at this hotel before. they are very friendly, evening was good as well as the breakfast. Convenient please for stopover , convenient to the port of Calais.
Second time we’ve stayed here. It is a friendly hotel in a quite village with comfortable rooms and a nice restaurant and bar. Great stop over for the trip back to uk.
