Staying with a local in an old house in a countryside is always interesting and this was the case for this accomotation too. The owner speaks good English and she's incredibly friendly and hospitable. She also has a wonderful cat. And we love cats! :) Our room was at the second floor, with private bathroom outside of it. Room was small but comfortable.
Breakfast was served in the morning, everything was good and homemade.
The location is very good to explore the zone and visit the caves.
Good value for money and a wonderful person who will host you.

The host Poppy shows his absolute nice hospitality and I had a great stay here. it’s not a busy hotel, you can chill out here with a nice garden view and have dinner time with the host. Next to the hotel there are several good scenic viewpoints such as Maison Forte de Reignac and Abri de la Madeleine.Canoeing is also highly recommended!

Exceptional Hotel , Perfect location for visiting a multitude of exceedingly interesting and beautiful locations eg Sarlat de Candida, the Dordogne valley , river with its numerous chateaux and sporting activities. The welcome was very warm . The facilities are set in beautiful grounds and the food ! What can I say absolute " Heaven" if you like FIVE STAR local french cuisine. Having stayed at hotels that were rated much higher this hotel can hold its own with the very best . Our room was spotless and the linen / towels were of the best quality and the decor of the room charming. Should be Four Star minimum.
