Le Manoir de Bellerive, hotel in Valades

Set in a 19th-century manor along the Dordogne River, Le Manoir de Bellerive offers a 4-hectare tree filled park, an outdoor swimming pool viewing the river and a tennis court.

Lovely hotel run by a delightful couple, Michelle and Ann-e. They could not do enough for us and made our stay very special. The hotel has a echo of the Far East as the owners have constructed a Chinese garden which is wonderful to wander around.

Beautiful, open spaces. Quiet location, with clean cabins.

Beautiful, open spaces. Quiet location, with clean cabins. The lake was wonderful, with open access to canoes. Swimming pools for children and adults were lovely and clean. Helpful, friendly staff. The bar/restaurant served tasty campsite food, with a weekly themed evening. Bread and croissant delivery in the morning. Perfect location for touring the Dordogne.
