Excellent cottage. We stayed in the 3 bed property. Great new beds and bedding. Very comfortable. Everything you needed and more for a self catering stay. Children loved all the games indoors and outdoors. The pools were excellent and never had to share, very private. We loved having a coffee or glass of wine at the pool while our children played.
Best wine tasting tour for families we thought was Chateau Rivière only 1 hour away. Great cave tour. We visited Dune du Pilat, Oleron, cognac, st Emillion and Bordeaux from here. Wonderful. The family are lovely too. Very helpful and friendly.

Natalie gave the best welcome and was the best host ever. She speaks wonderful English and the house was at the same time immaculate and relaxed with a huge welcoming fire lit 1st thing in the morning and again at night if it had gone out during the day because no-one was there. Rooms were huge,warm and comfortable with glorious views over the garden to the vines. Cannot recommend highly enough - thank you so much Natalie!

Breakfast was very good and the hostess Alexandra was very helpful and booked us a table at a fabulous restaurant - La Quincaillerie - just down the road. If you stay in Montendre you must go there for dinner.
