A charming château that gives you the feeling you've walked...
A charming château that gives you the feeling you've walked back in time to 1945.Our host, James, kind and friendly, was a wealth of knowledge about the area and especially WW2. The rooms were large with a view of the large property. The castle has a moat around it which adds to its charm. The bedroom wallpaper and windows are quite old which adds to its charm. If you're looking for a place that feels as though you live there, this is the place. There are outbuildings to be explored as well as a small lake, fruit trees and roses. There are several places to sit outside in the shade. One evening we had a picnic supper at the table provided. There is no AC but even though it was warm during the day, it cooled down at night to be able to sleep comfortably with the windows open. Definitely no hesitation in recommending Le Château de Vouilly !

The Chateau Vouilly is a beautiful historical chateau.
The Chateau Vouilly is a beautiful historical chateau. I was especially impressed with the garden and ground area. There is a large spring that surrounds the chateau and a path to walk in the garden. The host has a nice area to sit outside. I was happy we had access to a refrigerator for wine and snacks. We had two queen beds in our room and table with chairs.
