East Farm House B&B, hotel in Abbotsbury

East Farm House B&B is a beautiful Dorset property set in the village of Abbotsbury, around 2 miles from the nearest beaches. This charming, family-run property dates back to the 17th century.

Fabulously quirky and chintzily eccentric home. Wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste but delightful that places like this exist in a chocolate box english village.

    Amazing place to stay.

Amazing place to stay. The history of Abbotsbury is amazing and the village is stunning.. The Swannery is a must place to visit. The beahes all around the Dorset Coast are spectacular ( Chessil Beach is a must ). Stunning place to stroll around. A week is not long enough to see everything in and around the area. A couple of nice pubs in the village to eat and relax. The locals are really friendly and will give any advice you need on places to visit and do. Fantastic walks, Fabulous countryside, Amazing views, Weymouth is not too far and well worth a visit, Supermarkets are easy to get to but you need a car. Try their local baked bread ! Amazing ! Love this place and always will !

Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens are lovely, as is Abbotsbury Swannery. It's a good place for walking but bring your trekking poles as the hills around there are steep. The view from St Catherines Chapel are stunning,

Abbotsbury is a charming unspoilt village in the heart of a great swathe of beautiful countryside, which is totally unbuilt up with no caravan sites in view. A perfect place to visit for good walks, and a peaceful time.

    There's lots to do here.

There's lots to do here. We know this part of the coast well and love to visit. The village has some useful and interesting shops but is best known for The Swannery which is well worth the money for a visit any time of year and of course The Subtropical Gardens. You don't need to be a gardner to enjoy them, there is also an excellent restaurant/cafe at the gardens although the service is rather slow so don't expect anything to eat in a rush. Chesil Beach is awful in my opinion. Not because it isn't gorgeous but it's just such a ******* to walk on. The fact that it's stones and either uphill or downhill is really hard on the legs and I'm pretty fit. There is certainly no pleasure in strolling on it!! Go further along and enjoy the sand at Burton Bradstock

Abbotsbury is a peaceful village and is a pleasant to stay. The inhabitants are friendly and accommodating and proud of their village. The Swannery is an unusual swan sanctuary with other wildlife and only half a mile away but closed in the late Autumn and Winter. A place to see and experience.

Abbotsbury is a beautiful village with gorgeous scenery & lots to do if you like walking, countryside & are looking for peace. We visited the sub tropical gardens which were beautiful - we spent several hours there & had coffee & lunch, both of which were excellent & good value for money. The church is lovely & full of history - well worth a visit.
