The location was excellent, within comfortable walking distance of the centre of town and the coastal walk. I had an ensuite room which was spacious, well appointed with the necessary coffee and tea etc, and clean. I'm a theatre nurse and a little OCD about cleanliness; the room and hotel satisfied my picky expectations.

Alkham is a quiet little village with only the pub, church and park. Perfect to get away when you need A break. The food is to die for! The drinks options are amazing and the staff now how to look after you. Dover and Folkestone are between 10-15 minutes away and easy access to everything. Hidden Jem!

A very pretty Church - a very busy main road with very fast traffic & it was late in the day so we didn’t venture very far! A few walks were visible from the road but walking bouts required on the day of our visit.

Would have preferred home made fries with our meal rather than frozen as the rest of the meal was a very good standard . Toast in the morning ok but again packet bread rather than fresh un cut loaf, let it down for the standard of the pub .PatrickFrance

The room was comfortable, it was a bit warm but the air conditioning is very effective, outside there was a gentle hum from the air-conditioning unit of the kitchen. Cleanliness was good, although we did notice the toilet was not clean where the water comes out.
