I loved the town . The people are extremely friendly.
I loved the town . The people are extremely friendly. There 's a cattle farm, a pig farm and a sheep farm which can be a bit smelly. I wish there was a restaurant but the post office is quite well stoked with necessities and there is a couple of very nice pubs and restaurants in Middleton Tyas, just a 10 minute drive away. We had a fun night at the local pub " The Half Moon". The locals went out of their way to try and help me locate long lost relatives. There are some lovely little cottages displaying typical British gardens. For those who don't drive there is a very good bus service. From Darlington there is access to the market town of Richmond, which has a castle, and Leyburn, with access to the dales. I hope to return next yearSonjaCanada
