The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was ok. The wifi in the room was rubbish. The chair in the room was very uncomfortable so had to sit on bed for the evening. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The bar meal I had was good and the beer garden is lovely.

If you love Antiques it’s perfect…full to the brim of them! Such a quant, friendly place. We’ve stayed both times as we had local parties to go to but made our trip longer due to the antique fairs, bonus.

Battlesbridge itself is very quirky with lots of interesting buildings selling antique and vintage items. We found the sellers friendly and welcoming. We ate lunch overlooking the estuary which was enjoyable.

Battlesbridge has a wonderful Antiques centre, rather like a small village, you could spend a day there and enjoy lovely tea rooms too. There is a lovely Pub if you prefer serving food. But you can't beat the tea rooms and the local hospitality.
