We went to Bellaghy to attend a John Cooper Clarke recital in the Seamus Heaney Home Place. There was an excellent pub there called the Tap House where we had a gorgeous meal at a reasonable price. Bellaghy is compact so shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Also a beautiful Board Walk to Church Island, about 5 minutes by car from the village.

The Seamus Heaney Home Place is a must see for anyone with even the slightest interest in literature. We also attended a superb one man show in the theatre,
