Boston has gained a bad reputation, partly because of bad spins in the press and partly because of some negative locals. I grew up there and it isn't significantly worse that it was in preceding decades. Like all small (and not so small) towns it has been hit by the problems with high street shopping trade, but it remains a pretty historic town with some good attractions and the surrounding landscape is unique in this country - not the typical go-to destination countryside, but definitely worth a look if you haven't been before. Prepare to be surprised and ask the locals to reveal the area's hidden gems.

We stayed here for one day. The Saturday market wasn’t very big and was made up of six stalls. Shops aren’t very exciting and are mostly charity shops and vape stores. The coffee shops are nice and low cost.

Didn't have time to go into town but lots of supermarkets and shops near appletree site. Went to beaches, circus and funparks fabulous for families. All within 30 to 45 mins drive through beautiful countryside.

Main reason for the stay in Boston was to visit the Spalding Flower Parade. Also to incorporate a visit to Tattershall Castle, Bolingbroke Castle, Frampton Marsh Nature Reserve and to climb up the Boston Stump (right on the doorstep). All were within an easy drive away, Captain Cod Fish & Chips, with friendly staff, is a great place to eat and is also a take-away chippy.

Good parking. Friendly welcome on arrival. Room - Classic double - two windows with window seats - overlooking river. Well presented room with adequate power points and lighting. Bed comfortable. Neat compact ensuite. Excellent housekeeping. Evening meal and breakfast good with equally good table service. A return visit which did not disappoint. It should be noted that while not an issue this hotel is a period building and there are a number of stairs and a quirky floor or two to navigate - adds to the charm

The location was ideal for where I was working and near Boston town centre. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful( especially the lady who booked me in on arrival, who also served behind the bar amongst other tasks she carried out. I didn't get her name but nothing was too much trouble for her and her customer skills were first class. The hotel itself is quite basic but comfortable and it has a lot of local customers. Paddy who made and served my breakfast was also first class and looked after me.

Quality of finish in room was excellent lovely large TV and bed ,great shower, large cubicle LOVED the lighting ! Variable colours etc. Nice breakfast . Great access to the town and nearby restaurants and car park so was easy to pop back to the car and could pay the car park by phone too. All in all the best Boston had to offer I would say as we saw another hotel where our friends were staying.

Location was perfect near the main Boston Church where I was involved in rehearsals and a concert with the Boston Sinfonia. The room and the outside corridors were agreeably warm. Good that the suggested car park was nearby and there was good signage from the car park to the hotel. Car park charges good for 24 hours. Pleased that there was a fridge and microwave provided but see below!

This was ALMOST a perfect property. Very minor niggles have prevented a 100% top tick score. Beautifully finished interior, excellent facilities in and out. Bathroom and bedroom especially nice. Also, great idea only to have accommodation set up for couples - no hoards of kids running around.

The place was near a shopping area so you won't go far if you need anything. The room got a nice good bathroom spacious closet and a coffee machine. You will enjoy your stay in Boston staying at the King's Arm.
