Belvedere, hotel in Brodick

Belvedere Guest House offer comfortable, relaxed accommodation from an elevated position. Enjoy a wonderful view across Brodick Bay towards Goat Fell.

Limited off-road parking, but I never had any problems parking on Alma Road. Allan not around when I arrived, but the check-in arrangements worked fine. Room 5, single: the private facilities (washbasin, toilet, bath, shower) are all next door, but dedicated to my room. The room itself had tea/coffee facilities, and plenty of storage space. Breakfast is the kind you pre-order (what you want, when you want it, presumably to cut down waste. A good choice of breakfasts, including vegetarian options, and Allan is a chatty host at breakfast time. There are also three lively small dogs; Allan did ask 'are you OK with them?'

The property was lovely. A real comfortable bed in a spacious room with a beautiful bathroom. Emily, the host was delightful, really helpful and gave us great tips for things to see and do whilst in Arran. The breakfast was amazing and set us up for the entire day. I really recommend the guest house and would stay here again if I return to Lamlash.

Beautiful isle with very friendly local people.

Beautiful isle with very friendly local people. We visited in January which is considered an off-season, so some bars and attractions were temporarily closed. However, we were lucky with the weather and enjoyed many peaceful walks nearby with breath-taking scenes!

Welcoming , comfortable, clean accommodation.Location near amenities and town centre.Great food.Very beautiful scenery and wildlife.Quiet and peaceful but plenty to do if you want it.So many beaches that one is more beautiful than another.Arran definitely is Scotland in miniature and The Old Dairy is a wee hidden gem and has a charm of it's own

We've stayed in Brodick a few times and love the proximity of everything - beaches, woodland walks, Brodick Castle, restaurants, bars, Arran Cheese, the Brewery, Arran Botanicals, the Heritage Museum, Arran Aromatics, Wooleys Bakery, just to name a few. For food the Douglas Hotel, Ormidale and Auchrannie are good as is the Brodick bar. The Fisherman's walk is a gentle walk along the front and the beautiful beach with shallow water. Great for families. Pretty much everything is within walking distance.

Brodick is the main commercial and transportation centre for the Isle of Arran. It is a small place with very limited basic services, and nothing much to see or do in itself apart from the Castle and the Arran Heritage Museum. The shops were disappointing and there were only two decent restaurants in the central part of the town (I gather the Auchrannie Resort and Spa was good too but did not have a chance to go there as it is rather out of the way if you don't have a car). The best restaurant by far was the Brodick Brasserie - fine dining on Arran! The best thing about the town is its setting on a wide bay with mountains to the north.

Brodick is no more than a charming seaside village but has a promenade and some entertainments such as crazy golf. Brodick Castle and the Arran Heritage Museum are definite must visit attractions. The 323 bus to Whiting Bay and the south end of the island is recommended. Blackwaterfoot is also worth a bus ride. Motorists should be wary of the western side of the island where the only roads do not have "A" designation.

We picked up filled rolls and cakes at Wooleys bakery most days and they were excellent - nearly opposite the smaller Co-op store. We had a couple of tasty meals at The Douglas Hotel - worth booking ahead to get the time you want. Arran ice cream is excellent and is sold in various places. There are plenty of seats along the main road where you can sit to eat your cone and parking is easy and free here too. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and there were plenty of staff serving in the cafes and shops.

The Belvedere is in a good location, only a short walk or drive from the ferry terminal, perched above the bay with lovely sea views. It is a short walk to a co-op and places to eat and drink, which once you venture further afield on arran become few and far between. I must add that although a short walk, by nature of its position it does involve a gradient. The accomodation itself, was of a good B&b standard, we had a nice size room with a sea view. We would happily stay again.

The rooms are comfortable and the linens are super nice. The breakfast is amazingly huge and very delicious. Pro tip: If you like dogs the hotel owners have three pups that are the cutest friendly pups. Shadow Fluff and I forgot the 3rd's name right now but they are great. They don't really bark and aren't in the main shared areas unless you are okay with it but they're so cute.

We stayed 2 night, years since we did B n B as normally large group and rent a house The property was clean, a bit dated ( we’re not posh so didn’t care) , extremely handy for ferry and buses. Breakfast was made fresh and is ideal as everywhere on Arran is expensive to eat out. Shower had excellent pressure and soap, shampoo provided. Mitch was a very pleasant host

Can't fault the team at Hunters Guest House, especially Mitch who was just great. My ferry was cancelled and I wasn't sure when I would make it over to Arran. He stayed in touch throughout the day and in the end it wasn't a problem at all to check in way later than originally agreed. The location and premises were brilliant too, will definitely be back!

Booked the Douglas hotel for a wedding over in Arran. Staff were incredibly helpful - provided taxi details, advice and secured an early check in as I had to drop my bags then go. Room was spacious. Bed was incredibly comfortable, didn't want to get out. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were also incredibly lovely. 10/10 will be back.

We loved our stay at the Shorehouse. The location and the view were amazing, and we felt it was great value for the price we paid - especially for self catering! The Shorehouse is definitely a little quirky and in some places is a little tired around the edges, but we loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

Excellent location for discovering Arran, close to the hiking paths etc. Pub downstairs was great for relaxing after a long day. Staff was super nice and welcoming and there were several good options to choose for the hot breakfast, even a vegan full Scottish, which I really appreciated!

Great location—very close to the ferry and the main shops in Brodick but a bit removed from it all. Felt very safe. Breakfast was pretty good and had various choices. Overall my room was pretty quiet. WiFi worked great. Significantly less expensive than a lot of other options on Arran.
