Lovely room, clean and comfortable with a functional fire in the room.
Check in was quick and easy and the owner/staff were lovely.
Food was delicious, starter and mains were beautifully presented and much better than the expected ‘pub grub’

Immaculately clean and very well equipped. Access to a large, fully furnished garden area. This is the closest you will get to a 5 star hotel without actually booking into one.
The fridge was stocked with charcuterie meats and pate. Cereals, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and fruit are provided as well as a chocolate treat. Robes and towels are provided as well as shower gel and hand soap. There are feather pillows on the bed and a lovely stream running behind the property.
We booked late with little notice to the hosts who accommodated us beautifully. They are so very pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The shepherd hut butterfly was incredible everything has been thought of. The comfort and amenities were perfect . Also the welcome hamper with breakfast and wines provided was a excellent bonus.
Would highly recommend staying here. Hot tub under the stars was amazing.

Despite our short visit, we enjoyed strolling along the Wye Valley footpath on the Saturday evening, climbed the Pen y fan, criss crossed bits of the Brecon Beacon National Park on foot and by car on Sunday and returned home on the Monday. Staying at Llangoed Hall was perfect, it was tranquil, secluded and quiet. You're surrounded by beautiful countryside and wander their lovely gardens.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The location is spectacularly beautiful! The breakfast selections were varied from continental to cooked and there were choices at dinner which were all elegant. My husband enjoyed walking the grounds and the interior was filled with paintings and interesting artifacts. It was a pleasant hotel in the countryside!
We have stayed at Llangoed during the Hay Festival every year for almost 30 years ,except the last two ,of course .As always the staff were both very helpful and and made us feel most welcome. We had a comfortable and pleasant room. Very well equipped bathroom ,excellent shower.
Needless to stay this is a beautiful hotel and a delightful location.
Beautiful location. Great house. Great room. Hotel seemed almost empty so lacked some atmosphere. Skeleton staff in evening meant we had to go searching for reception, drink, etc. Those we found were lovely. Garden not as manicured as we expected. Feel you maybe are missing a trick; but not put finger on why. We v much enjoyed our stay though.
Very convenient parking outside the hotel. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, and the room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Our family came to the Inn to join us for an evening meal which everyone enjoyed, great atmosphere and fabulous food. The breakfasts were excellent too! Many thanks for such an enjoyable stay.
Taken at face value this is one of the most attractive country hotels in the UK. It has been carefully crafted with exquisite attention to detail, incorporating many personal elements from the Hall's family history. It is in a beautiful setting, has an ideal location, and the food was simply superb.
Everything was perfect. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the hotel is brilliant and there seems to be a great community spirit .
The evening meal choice was good and the ribs were amazing . We would definitely come here again .
greeting by staff, the luxurious suite, the bed was so comfortable and shower was wonderful. little touches like sherry in decanter in room and home made biscuits, nice range of teas. the hotel s simply sumptuous!
The Hotel itself has many excellent features and attention to detail. It genuinely feels like an old fashioned country house with updated facilities. Really good food but...
The room was beautiful, and I particularly liked bathroom. The whole hotel was very quiet and very relaxing as if we were visiting someone's house. Thank you
