A beautiful and stylish property, with ample parking, good location near Burnham market/ Holkham beach and delicious food/ great service. The communal areas were tasteful and comfortable, and little touches like complimentary afternoon cake and tea/coffee facilities made this a touch above the rest. The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet and the bedroom facilities excellent. I will definitely come back again!

Relaxed but warm and cosy vibe inside. Lots of seating. Sunday roast was incredible, meat was medium rare and so tender, vegetables all cooked perfectly, crispy roast potatoes and a good cauliflower cheese. Breakfast was also amazing, so much choice, the continental is one of the best we have had. Perfect crispy but soft in the middle croissants, a honey comb wedge where you could actually take the fresh honey from. Lots of cereals, musli , granola, jams, yoghurt and berry compote. All delicious and so well presented. This pub should be heaving as the food is fantastic.
A lovely 1 mile walk across the dunes brings you to a beautiful sandy beach. There were people surfing in the sea so if your in to that, possibly a good place for this , too rough to swim in but perhaps that was just the day we were there.
Our room here was lovely, decorated in clean warm tones. Lots of cushions, teas and coffees. The radiator in the room wasn’t working but we found a blow heater in the cupboard which kept us toasty.
Set in South Creake, 11 km from Houghton Hall, The Ostrich Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The food was exceptional. Breakfast was included with the price of the room and there was a great selection. All freshly cooked by experienced chefs. Delicious food at dinner with a great selection, again freshly cooked.
All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the rooms were spacious and clean.

The pub is in Burnham Overy Staithe, on the salt marshes near the harbour, lovely for walking and relaxing. The Hero pub is so cosy, with fire in the winter, outside tables with harbour views in dry weather. Lovely blankets provided. Everything is very geared to the visitor and their doggy friends. Burnham Market town is 3 miles away lots of lovely individual shops.

Not a large central village area but some nice shops cafes and it is a very picturesque English countryside location. Everything is within easy walking distance. Some shops are on the expensive side. We ate mostly at our Hotel The Hoste which was very nice. The other resturants look good too. Lovely place to visit, quintessentially British.

Very pretty village with some interesting shops - definitely the place to go if you need a hat! But a bit short on places to eat early in the week, it's pretty much closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A picturesque village with some independent shops and cafes.
A picturesque village with some independent shops and cafes. We have often stopped here while in North Norfolk, for an ice cream, coffee or food as well as a stroll around the pretty Green. It’s an ideal base for the area but it does have a ‘cache’ which can mean it’s expensive to stay here

Lovely place to visit/stay.
Lovely place to visit/stay. Has some interesting shops and restaurants but would advise booking restaurants beforehand as we couldn’t get booked for any of the ones we wanted. Been coming to this part of Norfolk since 1990 and Burnham Market probably our favourite place. It’s a lot busier now than it used to be and a lot pricier; but well worth it!

Pretty village with shops, pubs and restos.
Pretty village with shops, pubs and restos. A great base for extensive walks in North Norfolk, we did a loop through the Burnhams to Holkham beach, around the estate and return to Burnham Market (24 km). Brancaster with lovely coastal pubs and walks is nearby as is Wells.
Would avoid The Hoste to eat and try one of the other places next time.
Our room was in the garden/car park area and very cool amazingly despite the 27° heat! The room was a good size, nicely decorated with a good size bathroom. It had a large for standing fan which we used & a hairdryer. Loads of parking close to the room, toiletries including hair conditioner & tea, coffee & biscuits asking with a tiny fridge. Brilliant location - Burnham Market High Street 2 mins walk, Holkham 7 mins, Wells next the Sea, 10 mins, really accessable for all North Norfolk
we took along our very nervous dog and the staff were so kind and seated us in a quiet corner. they were so understanding and made our stay very enjoyable. they went above and beyond to facilitate us. the food was lovely, our room was warm and comfortable. The Hero’s location was perfect for exploring North Norfolk with Holkham Beach nearby, Wells next the sea, and National Trust Felbrigg Estate and Burnham Market. we intend to stay again in early December.
Lovely home in Burnham market, the room (double room with en-suite including shower) was very nice- clean and spacious with coffee/tea facilities too. Good breakfast was also provided in the kitchen.
Fiona is lovely and friendly, making sure we were all happy with our rooms when we checked in. Thank you Fiona!!!
The village itself is great with nice pubs/ restaurants and a few shops, also a great base for exploring other areas of Norfolk.
The Railway is located just on the outskirts of Burnham Market, an easy walk to everything in the village. 8 minute drive to Holkham and not much longer to Brancaster beach.
The honesty bar is a nice touch as there is no catering/bar facilities there.
The cottage was lovely. It did day it was suitable for 4, but I would say it's better for 2, maybe not 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Burnham Market is a real picture postcard village and close to beautiful beaches and Bircham Windmill.
Beautiful country location but only a seven minute drive to Burnham Market. Beautiful spacious room with comfortable beds and luxurious shower. Will come back when it’s cooler and play tennis.
Comfortable and characterful house. Charming and welcoming host. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower room.
Very good value for money. Well located in Burnham Market.
Warm welcome at this lovely hotel. We stayed in the Vine house which was quiet and only a short walk from the main hotel. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly
perfect room, fantastic terrace, breakfast was very good. staff very attentive. Have stayed at The Hoste many times and it is always very comfortable and relaxing.
