Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. A good relaxed atmosphere. I liked the use of all the old photos of the town to go with the local names of the rooms. Very nostalgic, as I lived in Shrewsbury when it was Sidolis ice cream!!

As soon as I arrived the staff were absolutely amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. I travel a lot for work and so am by myself when I stay away but I was made to feel just like one of the family.
The hotel its self including my gorgeous 4 poster bedroom was immaculate, large and one of the the comfiest beds I've ever slept in.
The breakfast list was really good, everything you could think of was on it. It arrived piping hot and was delicious, I didn't eat in the evening but I'm sure the food and menu here would be second to none also.
The grounds and gardens are very pretty and great for walking/jogging around.
When ever I'm working in Shrewsbury and the surrounding areas I always stay overnight but I usually stay in a large modern hotel with spa, gym and pool. However, Rowton Castle has impressed me so much that I'll be using this place from now on and do with out the gym/pool.
