A quiet village the hotel was on a busy road but the noise of traffic was not a problem. A nice walk by the river to take the dog. Overall it was a lovely place to stay. The food in the hotel was excellent.

There are some good walks you can do in Cemmaes without a car. There are plenty of more challenging walks a short car drive away. About 30 minutes away (by car) is the Centre of Alternative Technology, which for almost 40 years has explored and created ways of living sustainably.

Nice village if you want to get away from it all - there is the pub which is open all week to provide a cooked meal. Lovely for biking and walking but not much else so if you enjoy people watching it may not be for you.

We always enjoy our stay in Wales.

We always enjoy our stay in Wales. I like the city and people are very helpful and gentle. There are plenty of small towns and villages around to visit and if you enjoy nature and water, that is the place. We were staying in a flat, so it is helpful when you are close to grocery stores, general stores and etc. We personally enjoy visiting small villages and towns and nature.

Super, small country pub / hotel located in the Welsh valleys close to the 'Mach Loop', so if you like Top Gun, get ready!!! We were on a motorcycle tour so here for one night and there's safe, off road parking. Friendly place, great beer and village pub atmosphere. Comfortable and clean rooms, great staff and great brekkie. Highly recommended in fact I've booked it again for September

The room was perfect, the pub and food were also brilliant. We don't usually prefer to check in and then remain in the hotel but on this occasion we were happy to and so glad we did! Breakfast in the morning was great before our hike!
