Longstone House Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Chathill

Great staff, good breakfast, nice location and quiet. Owners were very accomodating with our problem over the allocated room size. I was however dissappointed with Booking.com (Not Longstone House) with the room description accuracy on booking.com web site.

Excellent rural location in the centre of a range of visits and activities. A number of rural pubs (Tankersville Arms, Pack Horse Inn) within a few miles provided excellent food and ambience so not short of food and drink and things to do. Fitted our need perfectly.

Lots of lovely clean stretches of beach walks and interesting areas to visit. Cragside House was a fantastic day, give yourself the whole day to look around the house and grounds. Bamburgh Castle well worth a visit, need at least 4-5 hours and then can walk down from there to the beautiful beach.

We always go up to this area every year mostly Beadnell it's a fantastic area to explore the cabins are fine place to stop in but if you like peace and quiet don't book as the ball is a popular wedding venue which for us later on the night became quite noisy would have been better on a Sunday maybe . What you could not fault was the amazing breakfast at the joiners arms Ellsworth a vist

Excellent base for visiting Alnwick, Lindisfarne and walking parts of the England Coastal Path. Embleton Bay and a visit to Craster to buy locally sourced and smoked kippers, and call at the Jolly Fisherman are a must!

I was expecting a room in a hotel but found we were in a cabin in the grounds and the hotel was not open to us. It was like Marie Celeste when we went to have an evening drink in the bar and the restaurant was of not open. We had adequate food at the pub which is accessed down a muddy path. More clarity needed with descriptions of the facilities and a proper path to get to the pub would improve the experience. In the pub the staff were friendly, attentive and cheerful but the chef needs to hold off on the truffle oil!

The Hotel is in an excellent Northumberland location; it is a most impressive building in lovely well kept grounds. Our room was large & very well appointed with a very spacious bathroom and such a good, large deep bath. Staff were most friendly & helpful. The breakfast was varied and of very good quality. We enjoyed our stay there, though perhaps a little more expensive than we would have liked.

Lovely spacious room with massive bathroom with a welcoming underfloor heating. Nice tea / coffee tray and great views across the fields. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very attentive and welcoming. Although food menus are limited both bar and restaurant, the food is outstanding and service was excellent. The hotel has lots of charm and there is lots of rooms to explore and sit in.
