Swan Studios, hotel in Choppington

Swan Studios in Choppington features 3-star accommodation. Free WiFi and free parking are available. The rooms all feature seating areas with coffee tables, and en-suite facilities.

Probably the cleanest and tidiest place we have stayed. Thick comfy carpet, good heating, good tv placed centrally. Liked the fact you can park right outside your door too. Very quiet, never heard a neighbour (although not sure if there even was one). Good wi-fi, we plugged the laptop into the tv and watched netflix with no problems.

Choppington appeared to be a typical northern village which probably was industrial in bygone years. It's close to Morpeth without having to pay Morpeth prices and that was my reason for staying there.

We didn't really explore much of Choppington and we ate at the Anglers Arms each night. We did one walk by the river but it involved some steep steps so wouldn't do that again. We could see a pleasant park from our bedroom window but didn't go there. Our time was mostly spent visiting English Heritage and National Trust properties. We did, however, get lost coming back to the pub as it was actually in Sheepwash rather than where Choppington is marked on the map.

Anglers arms was a joke of a hotel wouldn't advise anyone else to book, ended up driving home 11.30 at night. There was no hot water in the sink tap, booked a double got 3 singles, the music was that loud the floor was vibrating, absolutely disgrace of a hotel

The room was excellently presentable, clean and spacious.

The room was excellently presentable, clean and spacious. Although the bed was a little on the small size ( for us, being of the larger proportion adults). The room would easily accept a king size bed. All the accomodation was on the ground floor but unfortunately access for people with wheal chairs or walking difficulties would find one of the small staircases converted to a ramp very acceptable. It was wonderful and relaxing.Easally placed as a base for outings to the whole of Northumberlands splendid attractions.

We just travelled from the studios to my daughters a couple of miles away. But Choppington does look lovely. We did go to a supermarket there which is not to far away. Other than that we spent our time out in the sunshine travelling locally. Lovely place.

Situated near a lovely river, which can be walked along to Newbiggin next the sea, and the coast, the Anglers Arms is ajacent to a green children's play area. Ate our evening meals at the Anglers Arms. Is a fish and chip shop up the main road.

All we needed was to book a clean double room in a hurry for a family emergency. What we got was more than perfect. Spacious, spotless, airy, relaxing, comfortable room with more extras than a high class hotel would offer. With family in the area we will definitely be back. Position great as even without a car there is a bus stop outside and it is an easy walk into Bedlington.

The room booking didn’t go through to the hotel apparently so we arrived having booked 2 rooms but we only had one room! Luckily our other booking had been processed so the staff quickly found a pull out bed to add to our double room so that we all had a bed to sleep in.
