Perfect easy location (a stone's throw from the marvellous Poetry Pharmacy!), very cosy room and surprisingly quiet (the storm winds were louder than the town hall clock!). Really comfy bed. Nice touch to find a bottle of fresh milk in a little fridge in the room; with kettle & teabags so you can make yourself a cuppa. Breakfast was extra, but very reasonable and most delicious - with excellent coffee. Host sent information for entrance keypad, all really smooth and easy. All round a very lovely place to stay.

Fantastic value for money. The room was stunning! Very clean and the hosts were lovely. I couldn’t ask for more. There’s lots to do in the area if you’re active but it’s also a great place to just go and relax. 11/10
A truly wonderful hotel. The room was amazing and the staff were extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful. We requested a sharing platter for us to have in the room and it was delicious. We had explained our dietary needs and the chef had been imaginative and creative. A fabulous treat for our wedding night.
This hotel is very traditional and beautiful building. The room is very clean. Stuff was so kind and polite. The food was so tasty. Everything was more than I expected. This hotel is one of my best. Unfortunately, We stayed only one night. I should come again and stay longer.
The downstairs of the hotel was lovely. The grounds and the view from the window was beautiful. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was brilliant and we could buy a great packed lunch for walking Offas Dyke. Price of food and drink was very reasonable.
The hotel retains its victorian character, the staff were helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The evening meal was brilliant and our breakfast delicious, wouldn’t hesitate to book again
The staff, hotel, food and drink options far exceeded my expectations. I will be back with my family and our dog - wonderful place to stay. I thought the value for money was exceptional.
Stunning location, really good food, spacious, clean and comfy room and the staff were all so friendly and helpful too. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
