Very pleasant room on a separate block at the back of the pub. All usual facilties you would expect & in good working order. Bed, although small, was comfortable. Food available in the restaurant was excellent & reasonablably priced. Overall, it would be good place to overnight or even use as a base to explore the surrounding area.

Excellent place to stay with many amenities for extra comfort like bottled water, sleep mask, and toiletries. The breakfast was good and we also had dinner which was decent and affordable. We celebrated my teen's birthday and it was all perfect. Pretty quiet at night and the beds were super soft and comfy!

Sean is a great host! The accommodation is in a great location (you can literally see the trains stopping just at the back of the terrace, yet it’s super quiet, you can barely hear them, even with an open window). The room is nice, clean and tidy, the kitchen is fully equipped, the continental breakfast is varied, the check-in process was quick and straightforward. Highly recommended!

Pod was absolutely beautiful, exactly as it appeared online. As a disabled person, the access was very good, parking was nearby and inside the pod everything was easy to use. Shower was great. The 68 Cafe is just next door and is excellent. The number of regulars using the cafe show that it is very popular which is always a good sign.

The host very kindly left some fresh milk, butter, bread, jam and cereals which made a hugh difference to our stay so we didn't have to rush out the next morning. It was a lovely surprise.
Charming village. Got a co-op, pub, Chinese takeaway and community cafe. Close to bigger towns for sightseeing and anything else you may need. Quiet location and fairly dark sky's even with the street lights for star gazing

Nice walks over Cockfield fell and lots of walks (including Teesdale and Weardale) within 30 mins drive
