Very good location, 5 minutes from the Historic Dockyard entrance, as well as a short stroll to Gunwharf Keys for shopping, bars and restaurants.
Parking nearby on a piece of land owned by the hotel, you need a slip of paper displayed on the dashboard from the hotel, otherwise you may get a parking ticket.

Lift to all floors, our room was medium size, with a nice en suite bathroom with walk in shower. Room very warm, fan was available if required. Hairdryer available on request.
We had a meal in the restaurant the first night, good food, reasonable price.
Rooms a little dated, could do with a bit of a make over.
This converted 18th-century farmhouse is on Hayling Island, 12 miles from Portsmouth city centre. Newton House has free Wi-Fi and free parking, just half a mile from the nearby beach.

It was excellent value for a really clean modern comfortable place. It had everything you could possibly need, I was very impressed.
There was also the added benefit of really secure parking included in price.
I would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be staying there again.
