Great location, accommodation was good, staff were friendly. Had to stay in the back annex due to the main hotel being closed for renovations, but the room was good.

Convenient location (next to both the train and bus station), and had very helpful and friendly members of staff who helped with directions around town and the wider Lakes areas. The hotel’s facilities were great, having both a pool, gym, sauna, and steam room. The onsite bar and restaurant was also very good, nice food and lovely staff.
Hotel is fantastic. I stayed for work and used it as a base for business in the North. Quick access to Lakes and M6 which is an added bonus.
Room is on point with comfy bed, great bathroom with decent shower and a desk to work. Staff are helpful and friendly and food is really good to.

Everything was good about our stay here, proximity to M6 to break the journey to Scotland. The room was very comfortable and food was good. I would just have liked a healthier vegetarian breakfast option.

Rural location is good.
Rural location is good. And everything at the hotel was great! Friendly and professional staff, comfortable and immaculately clean room and superb food and service at a reasonable price in the restaurant. Ample free car parking, too.
Only slight negative is that hotel is on a busy, fast road with no pavements - so walks from it might be limited for some guests (eg those with several small children or some elderly people).

Staff very friendly.
Staff very friendly. Check in straightforward reception staff lovely- very helpful. Bar ,lounge food great and relaxing. Restaurant very good and run very well. Great service. Meals plentiful . Great parking on site and good location just off M6. Nice outside area. Thoroughly recommend, have stayed many times.
Room had everything required and the bed was very comfortable hence a great nights sleep. Had dinner in the hotel's restaurant which was great and reasonably priced. Would advise booking in advance as restaurant and bar were very busy for a Wednesday night. Friendly, welcoming receptionist and waiting staff. Enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again. Sad that we could only stay one night due to commitments.
Good sized, comfortable room. The modern parts of the hotel blend well with the original building. Staff were very helpful, efficient and friendly. Food was great, good selection of dishes, mainly English, but with some Indian and Chinese items. Choice of 3 well-kept real ales. Plenty of parking, important as this is a rural location, but still close to the M6.
I last stayed at the Crooklands Hotel about 30 years ago. It is as excellent now as it was then. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. My husband's walking group, on my recommendation, have booked to come in May next year. Although he no longer walks with this group, we are hoping that if they have overbooked, we can come too !
The hotel is lovely in a great location. The room was very nice. The outside seating areas are great. Would like to stay again. The receptionist was very nice when we checked in on saturday. The gentleman on the desk on Sunday was very pleasant and gave me elastoplast from the first aid box , i think he may of been the manager he was very nice .
We were attending an event in one of the hotels' fab function rooms. The room was perfect for two of us, it was clean and very comfortable. Staff were great, and the breakfast was just what we needed with prompt service and a choice of both cooked and cold breakfast.
Excellent location for access to Lakes and North Yorkshire ( and Lancashire). Crooklands Hotel next door, good food though do book, gets v busy at weekends. The cottage is well fitted out with bedlinen, good towels, crockery etc.
We arrived on Saturday around 4 .30 and were greeted by a smiling ,friendly receptionist. Our room was lovely and very clean and tastefully decorated. Nice products in the bathroom
We had arranged to meet friends, who joined us on our journey for an evening meal at the hotel.
We also had breakfast as part of the booking and this also was very enjoyable.
Booked room and breakfast, room was very spacious and clean, breakfast following two days was wholesome, hot and ready in a few minutes - great service all around.
