Loch Ness Lodge, hotel in Drumnadrochit

This elegant and intimate exclusive retreat in the heart of the Scottish Highlands overlooks the mysterious and beautiful Loch Ness.

Beautifully situated with a management team who display their pride in their property on their sleeves. We only stayed the solitary night but as luck would have it the hotel and surrounding area was hit with an out of the blue, water problem. Water everywhere to see but none to drink, wash or flush away. For a problem that was totally out of their control the hotel staff did very well and we were offered a generous gesture of apology when checking out.

    Stayed for one evening.

Stayed for one evening. Staff were rude, place was a glorified shed. Road up was hard work on motorbikes. Too far out of town. Grounds were unkept, Sheds were neglected. Clunebeg too expensive for what it was.

Over priced. Relies on Monster nonsense.

Over priced. Relies on Monster nonsense. For a pretty part of the world it’s a bit scruffy. Very overpriced, Too popular, No bars so you’re ripped off in hotels for a simple drink. Stay elsewhere if you have taste.

Sarah is a fantastic host, and this is a wonderful place to stay. We felt like we were at home with a living/dining room, full kitchen, patio, spacious bedrooms with separate bathrooms, and a washing machine! This has been a long trip for us so we badly needed clean clothes! The location is easily accessible to Loch Ness. There are also some good places to eat and a small grocery store nearby. We loved our stay here.

Angela our host was terrific. she even offered to drive myself and my wife into town for dinner at the great Fiddlers whisky restaurant and pick us up several hours later in the evening. Angela did everything she could to make our stay relaxing, fun and memorable. There was also a fantastic lounge with great views over Loch Ness which we used in the evening for drinks. We will definitely return for a long stay.

Dinner and breakfast were included in the cost and were both well worth it. The hotel has a quaint restaurant and bar that are also frequented by the local residents so you do need to get a reservation for dinner. There is a brewery on site that brews a delicious IPA. The dinner menu for the restaurant is different than the bar menu so if you're in the mood for chicken wings eat at the bar.

The hotel is perfectly placed by the side of Loch Ness. We had a great room overlooking the Loch. We arrived later than expected and ended up eating in the hotel restaurant. This was probably the best thing that could happen as the food was incredible. We also had a full breakfast in the morning that far exceeded expectations. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed in a room at the bunk inn with our 3 kids, bunks with private bathroom, was all we needed for one night and had everything we needed in the shared kitchen and beautiful river for the kids to play outside while we had a cuppa. Great spot to visit loch ness and the service in the restaurant was fantastic, they catered for us and our kids so kindly.

This was a lovely hotel , the rooms were lovely and very comfortable. We had to book for dinner as it’s a very busy restaurant but it was well worth it as the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a great location for Lochness and Inverness is only a few miles up the road.

Beautifull house in the countryside, spacious and well equipped. We loved the flannel bedding! Beds are good sized and we slept amazingly well due to complete silence. Stunning view into the hills. Car can be parked in front of the house. 6 miles to Drumnadrochit to find a supermarket and various restaurants.

Having spent a weekend here before we had no hesitation booking a room again. The menu for the restaurant offers great food and we were stuffed when we left the table. We required to leave for an activity early in the morning and were offered an 'early' full cooked breakfast to set us up for the day.

Stewart and his family are absolutely wonderful. The house is gorgeous and the room was spacious, comfy, and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. The location is great, feels very secluded and has a beautiful view, but not far from Loch Ness and towns. Probably the best B&B I’ve stayed in.

Not a lot, arrived at 4pm and everything closed up, had to call telephone number I had and told to go to room 16, did not see staff at anytime. Hotel is very dated and nothing was open close by, had to end up phoning for a taxi to go back into town to get some food for dinner.
