We had a lovely relaxing stay in this picturesque house & grounds.
We were lucky enough to have beautiful blue skies & sunshine so we could make the most of the large patio area, comfortable seating & lovely views. Plenty of options of outside seating areas.
The main house is huge with lots of character and again plenty of areas to chill out in and not be bothered by others if you want some quiet time.
Our room was cosy, quiet and had everything we needed plus lovely and clean.
Breakfast was very good with a huge choice and great tasting coffee.
We had dinner which again was very good.
What made it such a lovely weekend for us (we stayed 2 nights in the end) was the staff. So very welcoming, chatty, friendly and professional. Made you feel like you'd known them for ages. The other guests were also very chatty and friendly which made it such a nice environment to be in. Looking forward to returning :) .

Having never stayed in the area or hotel before its always a risk. However beautiful location and setting and ideal for A34. This hotel felt relaxing and welcoming. The food was amazing, i fully recommend the salt and pepper squid. The best ive had, i will be returning for the food. Host and Staff were really friendly. I recommend for solo travellers.
Jubilee weekend, pub garden, live music, musician had a fab voice, it was really nice. Dog friendly. Some annoying children racing around and screaming with drunkish parents not bothering - not the hotel's fault though. Food was good. Room was nice, would have preferred not to be upstairs as I travelled with a pup.
Loved the way the staff treats the guests. Very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are exceptionally clean. Food was absolutely delicious (we had dinner at the hotel restaurant). Great location for our purposes
