Perfect for Petersfield B&B, hotel in East Tisted

"Situated in Petersfield, Perfect for Petersfield B&B offers garden, free WiFi, free continental breakfast and a warm welcome.

The property is situated two minutes walk from Petersfield rail station, tow minutes from a LIDL, three minutes from an ALDI, five minutes from an ASDA, and only five minutes downhill into the town, where there's a large WAITROSE. Shopping is therefore no problem. The town also abounda with cafes, restaurants and Bars of all nationalities, some of which are of good quality, and have 'special offers'. We arrived by car, and after parking, which is to be fair, limited, we walked everywhere for meals and sightseeing. Daytime outings by road saw us in National Trust properties nearby. The town of Minstead and the City of Winchester are fairly close, which has a spectacular Market. Petersfield has a Saturday market for local produce and is quite comprehensive. We were welcomed by the HOST, who was friendly, conversational, knowledgeable and provided a very elegant breakfast including fresh fruit and yogurt, and good coffee. The house rules are - no shoes - no smoking - no pets - and no noise, all of which we like, AND SEEK! Everthing was comfortable, clean, and provided, including USB phone charging, face flannels, refreshments and WiFi. Perfect for Petersfield, in fact.

Langrish House, hotel in East Tisted

Set in 14 acres of landscaped gardens in the South Downs National Park, Langrish House offers elegant rooms with Wi-Fi access. Petersfield is just 3 miles away.

We felt so at home from the moment we arrived Nigel & Robina were wonderful , we felt so at home . It was great to be off the beaten track , yet close to stately homes , quaint villages , all things Jane Austin and an hour from Portsmouth. The house is so beautiful , we enjoyed learning about the history . Personalized service at breakfast , excellent food . Robins recommended the nearby Ye old George Inn for dinner . We loved it and food was excellent. Bed was soft for us but we just prefer a firmer bed . Lovely grounds to explore . Easy parking right in front .

As a fan of walking, I'd recommend leaving the car at home and getting a train to Alton. East Tisted is 4-5 miles away and there's a cab office at the Station. You can walk along woodland surrounding the disused railway track to the nearest village of Lower Farringdon , where there's a good pub and half a mile up the road in Upper Farringdon is an even nicer pub! To travel around further in the area at your leisure , you may need your car and Flossie's has a decent sized car park. Just walking round the village is lovey though and as you're right on top of the South Downs, you get a fantastic star-gazing experience on clear nights.
