I was at the Watercress line during each day and at 'Flossies' in the
evening so I did not see much of East Tisted. I did visit the church though, dating from mediaeval times. It was a tranquil and peaceful old church, which I very much enjoyed visiting.

As a fan of walking, I'd recommend leaving the car at home and getting a train to Alton. East Tisted is 4-5 miles away and there's a cab office at the Station. You can walk along woodland surrounding the disused railway track to the nearest village of Lower Farringdon , where there's a good pub and half a mile up the road in Upper Farringdon is an even nicer pub! To travel around further in the area at your leisure , you may need your car and Flossie's has a decent sized car park. Just walking round the village is lovey though and as you're right on top of the South Downs, you get a fantastic star-gazing experience on clear nights.
