Although the hotel was excellent we had a walk through the picturesque village of Ecton, full of charm and yellow stoned buildings. The is also another pub in the village, the Three Horseshoes, a locals pub, good beer but no food.

Terrific character. surrounded by the ironstone village of Ecton with thatched cottages and a unique church. Hard to believe it is so close to Northampton. In spite of being next to the A4500 I never heard the vehicles and wasnt disturbed.AAnonymous
