First of all, all the staff from reception to housekeeping to the Vault bar are helpful and friendly, exactly what hospital really means. The Resolution Hotel is ideally placed in the old town, near the harbour and in the midst of interesting shops. There is a pay & display car park close by with reasonable 24 hour rates. Coast to coast day 11. This was a really friendly and quite quirky place to stay. The food and the service were amazing, both for dinner and breakfast. Food was the best I had throughout the walk. I loved the little extra touches like the bread and cheese and the Eccles cake in the room.
