There is a good walk around the Scaling Dam, which is opposite the hotel. The crazy golf course at the hotel is great fun. Ideal location for exploring around the area.

Everything went well, my room was good, comfortable bed, and the food was exellent,and the hotel was situated 250 yards from the town centre, and plenty if shops near by, and the bus station was within walking distance.

This charming family-run hotel has a great restaurant and a wonderful, peaceful location on Whitby’s West Cliff, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town centre.

My husband and I had a double room, it had very recently been refurbished and redecorated, new carpet etc. The bathroom also was new and very well presented, it was lovely. Couldn't fault it. There was plenty of space and well equipped. The food and the service at breakfast was excellent. We all really appreciated being looked after.

Great location, bit noisy we arrived on Karaoke night, bed was a bit hard & lumpy, the hotel is separate from pub, breakfast room & food was very good staff polite & friendly, walking distance to all Whitby.

Good location for the Coast to Coast trek. Good restaurant - meals were very well prepared and it made a nice change from the usual pub grub.
