Coast to coast day 11. This was a really friendly and quite quirky place to stay. The food and the service were amazing, both for dinner and breakfast. Food was the best I had throughout the walk. I loved the little extra touches like the bread and cheese and the Eccles cake in the room.

We booked the Ellerby as it was close to a wedding venue, brides family and grooms family all stayed, 16 of us in total and a dog. The staff could not have been more helpful. Ate in the restaurant, daughter is coeliac and they had a menu with a great choice, breakfast was fabulous. We had late check out till 12. Can't recommend it enough.

We wouldn't come in August again, roads far to busy and fast! But any other time of year it would be a perfect place to visit and we shall do so. Ellerby is a small, quiet, peaceful village and long may to remain. Perfect views from car park looking towards the coast. Exquisite garden, full of interesting plants and "items", find them yourself! We only had breakfasts this time but have eaten before and can recommend dining. Breakfasts have much to choose from.

A fabulous country inn/hotel, All staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble should you have any queries. There were 16 of us as we were celebrating my husbands 70th birthday. A nice surprise of bottle of proseco in our room plus greetings card. Nobody in our group had anything negative to say about Ellerby it was all extremely positive comments from them. The food was excellent. Would we stay here again, most certainly. A great big thank you to Ellerby for making my birthday weekend memorable.

This place is a hidden gem, we have stayed in a lot of hotels and b&b's but I can honestly say this is the best we have stayed in. The place is spotless, the staff cannot do enough for you and the food is exceptional. Cannot wait for another stay will be bringing the in-laws as well . The location is near everything Whitby, saltburn, robin hood's bay everywhere for a day out.
Good location for travelling to Whitby and Runswick Bay. Stayed for a wedding in Danby so close to there too. Friendly staff and a nice quiet room overlooking the lovely garden. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had a nice breakfast each morning. Nice Elemis products to use too.
Having visited earlier in the year while walking the Cleveland way, it was very pleasant to be able to visit under more relaxing circumstances. I heartily recommend the Ellerby Inn for anybody travelling that way - clean, comfortable and very friendly staff.
The room was a good size and well furnished with a good bathroom. The staff were a nice jolly team and very attentive at mealtimes. The hotel is a short drive from some great seaside resorts. We had access to a private area outside.
Great hotel with friendly staff and lots of car parking space available. The garden looked like it would be a lovely spot to relax in the summer months. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Food is very good.
