The Home Arms Guesthouse, hotel in Eyemouth

The Home Arms is set on Eyemouth's High Street and 400 metres from the harbour, offering B&B accommodation with panoramic views across the bay and sandy beach.

Free parking in the public car park directly opposite the guesthouse was good, especially for us motorcyclists. The self check-in worked ok for us, however a couple of other guests were struggling as their phone couldn't receive the check-in details via text - make sure your phone is charged on the day of arrival. Oh yes, fantastic breakfast, delicious.

Eyemouth is a generally quiet town, few shops, the beach is ok but the harbour is more vibrant and busy with lovely chippy and The Ship and Oblos are lovely for food. We stayed in Eyemouth because I knew it was a perfect base for travelling to other towns on the East coast. Eyemouth is worth a visit but don’t expect too much activity.

.We had a lovely big, bright clean room...tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room and we each had a bottle of water at our bedsides. The host, Amanda was very helpful...she told us where we could get a nice breakfast, we followed her advice and went to The Waterfront cafe where they had a good selection for breakfast. We had a walk around Eyemouth and called in for a drink at the Tavern where the bar lady was really friendly. I would have liked to stay longer at The Ships Quarters. Maybe need to visit again.

It looks a lovely town, but sadly lots of shops empty.

It looks a lovely town, but sadly lots of shops empty. Harbour where you could buy food to feed seals, but not at the team we were there. Nice walk along a small pier, but lackof safety barriers was concerning - there is a 30 foot drop into the sea.

We used Eyemouth as a base to visit Lindisfarne, and it suited our needs well. The town itself was very charming to walk about and I would have liked to explore it further if we had had more time. The hotel seems to have an associated restaurant, where we had a very nice meal. There were various tasty options for breakfast places nearby.

The caravan was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Toiletries, towels and bedding were all included as was the use of bikes if we would have liked them. Everything was spotless and there was contact from the owner to ensure we had all we needed. It was in a great spot on Eyemouth Park Dean Resort. The site itself was also very clean and well cared for. We had free use of the local swimming pool and the walk along the cliff path and down into the town was great.

Central to town and parking just outside. Shower was fine and there is plenty of wardrobe space in the bedroom. Eyemouth itself is a nice little fishing village with a few decent places to eat/drink and some nice walks nearby. It’s worth a visit just don’t stay in The Old Coach House. Check in easy enough collect keys from pub opposite staff we spoke to were helpful.

We were given a friendly welcome - always a good start - and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location, not far from the centre of Eyemouth. We did think of walking down into the village for a meal, but as it is all uphill on the way back we became lazy and drove, but there's plenty of parking so no problem there.

The cottage is fantastic. A great modern feel. The location is great. Right in the centre of Eyemouth. The owners put a Christmas tree up, which was really appreciated. The owners were great. Nothing was too much trouble. We will return and certainly recommend to friends and family.
